BUILDING SIGNS / ROOM SIGNS
Room signs and building signs design to inform guest the designated usage of the room. HPD NYC and dob NYC required owner to post on the door of the room the designation of the room. The room number help fire department in case of emergency to be oriented and find the exact location needed in timely manner. Most state and municipalities required building owners to post the room type on the door for example “ Boiler room sign” required by nyc to be posted or even “ electrical room sign”, Gas meter room signs” and even elevator room signs. Each building will have it unique signs to identify each room in the building. The room signs also help 1st responded to identify the room they need to get to in case of emergency.
